Cons: 1080i (not 1080p), no separate battery charger
I wanted to upgrade from my old point and shoot and purchased this camera a few months ago. I have not been disappointed! The quality of the pictures is terrific. Took some family portraits that were just as good as some we got with a professional a few years ago. Battery life is terrific. Low light performance is great--rarely need the flash. Video looks great too. Other reviewers said they couldn't see the LCD screen in sunlight--I wonder if they turned on the sunlight mode in the menu. When I do that I can see the screen fine in daylight. Having to charge the battery in the camera can be annoying. Wish video did 1080p, but video still looks great and very smooth. Easy to carry around. Much smaller than all my friends' DSLR's, but the pictures are just as good if not better! Very happy with this camera!

Impressed!
Date:September 23, 2012
Pros: Love everything
Cons: the LCD screen is a little hard to see in direct sunlight.
I am a student in high school and I have been saving up for this camera for a long time, and let me just say...it was worth it! I researched a lot about this camera and found it better than the alpha NEX-5n. I absolutely love this camera! Super easy to use and crisp high quality shots. The focus is great and its light weight doesn't put extra pounds into my already overbearing purse:) The camera itself is awesome for the price and I would recommend it to anyone who wants crisp wowing shots in a simple click!:)

Not so Great
Date:September 13, 2012
Pros: Compact size ,Easy to use , Combined features of Point and shoot and SLR .
Cons: VIEW WINDOW IS IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IN BRIGHT SUNLIGHT . THUS< THE CAMERA IS USELESS WITHOUT THE VIEWFINDER.
I purchased the camera in August 2012 because I wanted a small compact , easier to use SLR style camera. I liked the camera and all was well until I tried to use it at a beach on a sunny day. I could see nothing out of the window at the back of the camera due to the bright reflections in the viewing window . The camera was useless and I was unable to line up any shots . I was very disappointed and angry . The only solution is to get an expensive viewfinder . I can't imagine why Sony thought it was alright to sell a camera that is useless in certain conditions . Shame on them !

A Personal Fav
Date:July 25, 2012
Pros: Lightweight, APC Sized Sensor
Cons: Selection of Lenses
Overall my favorite Sony camera that I've used, actually my favorite APC Sensor included camera. I thought of buying a Nikon D90, but why would I want to lug around a big DSLR like that? I love my alpha, I love it's manual controls, some complain about the button overlay, but I love it and it's custom button setting as well. I say buy it! I'd highly recommend buying a 50mm f/1.8 lens for this camera too. It's great for starting out in Photography and even for the pro's this is the camera you'd want as a secondary carry on!

Very Nice Camera
Date:June 25, 2012
Overall it's a very good camera. But the only thing that disappointing for the price you spend Sony Shoulder strap should be more attractive I would say and battery charger must be included! Even shoulder strap for my previous Sony HX100 was much better!

Great Purchase
Date:June 6, 2012
Pros: 180 flip screen, grip, and the speed
Cons: you can't get the over head view (which is fine for me but others might want that feature)
I have to say that this is one of the best cameras i have used in a while. The features are so easy to learn (since I am use to a point and shoot). I would recommend this camera to anybody. At first I had the C3K but then I upgraded to the F3 because of the video resolution. Full 1080 HD won me over because I am going to a lot of video recording. I am happy with the 180 flip screen. This really makes taking self portraits easy. I am going on a trip to Washington D.C. and Maryland and by having the flip screen I can include myself in all of the pictures and not have to worry about if the focus is off or the zoom is too close. Great camera.
