Thinner than competition, faster than desktops
Date:August 17, 2011
Pros:
Pros: Incredible performance, form factor, dock
Cons:
Cons: Junk software
If you don't mind leaving your video card at home, this laptop delivers on the performance side, the battery life, the thinness, and design.
Money was no object for me, because I use my computer 6h+ per day; I can say I am fully satisfied. Going to university in september, the lightness will definitely be a big plus. Also, I have consistently 8h+ of battery life, even with the Core i7-2620m.
Also, it is my first SSD laptop. The boot-up is very fast, maybe 10-15 seconds.
Unfortunately, the computer is filled with VAIO utilities. While some of them are useful, some of them simply feel unnecessary.
Also, please avoid putting stickers on this beautiful machine... I spent the first 30 min trying to get the glue off. Use rubbing alcohol and windex!

Very cool but got a few flaws
Date:November 28, 2011
Pros:
Pros: Fast, lightweight, ethernet, hdmi, usb, etc
Cons:
Cons: Very fragile. Poor design: the left speaker broke on the 1st month and the metal caved in near the media port.
As for now, it's the only ultra portable with all those external ports (HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, USB2+3, etc) with such performance and TPM, VT-D, VT-x, TXT. However, it's very fragile and for that price, could have been a lot better.
One really bad point for power users, parts of the BIOS is locked down so you don't have access to advanced options such has deciding to turn on or off the bridged video controller and VT-d.
